Visiting Texas from New England and I needed some authentic Mexican food. They did not disappoint. The Mexican Plate was outstanding. I wish I could get this food at home.
This place is very small, but exceeded expectations. My family decided to stop here after visiting the Terlingua ghost town. We were immediately greeted and seated and had our drink order taken. Along with the chips and salsa we ordered the guacamole, both the salsa and guacamole were surprisingly bland, but both tasted freshly made which is a plus, and a little salt and the lemon from my tea really perked up the guac. When the food came out the portions were ideal; everyone was able to eat until they were full, while not leaving a ton of food on the table. My wife's nachos had ample toppings have on each bite, and not have a pile of "not nachos" at the end. The only other criticism would be the price...while not overly expensive, it was definitely more than we expected to pay. Overall we really enjoyed our meal, and would probably return if we are ever back in the area.
The best fries I have ever had besides my grandmother's homemade fries. They are just like hers. Quick and friendly service.
Great authentic Mexican food. Good service in a friendly and comfortable place. I love Mexican food and this had to be the most outstanding food yet. Everything was hot and just off the grill...never had tacos and Chile rellenos come out crisp and hot!
